The Challenge
The World's Toughest Row is an extreme ocean rowing challenge where teams and solo rowers cross the Atlantic Ocean in small, human-powered boats. Often dubbed the most grueling endurance race on Earth, it spans over 3,000 miles from San Sebastián in La Gomera, Canary Islands, to Nelson’s Dockyard in Antigua. Taking between 35 to 60 days at sea, participants face relentless physical and mental challenges, including massive waves, sleep deprivation, salt sores, and isolation, all while navigating one of the world’s most unforgiving environments. Despite the hardships, the race is known for its spirit of adventure, camaraderie, and the powerful personal and charitable causes many rowers support.
